ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar on Thursday said that the judiciary has been making efforts to ensure implementation of laws and provision of justice to the masses.

Addressing an event of lawyers here, Justice Nisar said the judiciary is performing very well. “We have taken on challenge to provide justice to the people deprived of their fundamental rights,” the CJP underlined.

He said the long prevailing period of injustice has finally come to an end with the efforts of lawyers’ activism.

He stressed provision of justice and rule of law for the survival of country. “We have to avoid confrontation but perform our duties in compliance with the law,” Justice Nisar asserted.

Enumerating the virtues of judges, he said an ideal adjudicator should not be hesitant in making fair decisions. “A strong judicial system is imperative for society to prosper,” he added.
