Car fire in London tunnel causes massive traffic delays

A car fire in London’s Blackwall Tunnel caused massive traffic delays on February 21.
“I was driving in the Blackwall Tunnel and all of a sudden, the car — which was approximately four cars in front — literally set on fire,” an eyewitness with Whitewood Scaffolding said.
The eyewitness also said “the passengers in the burning car jumped out” and were “lucky to have escaped with their lives.”
The London Fire Brigade’s website reported that the “fire is under control,” but “local road closures and travel disruption is expected to continue for some time while the scene is cleared.”
