The eighth season of the Indian Premier League (IPL), which started on 8 April, has turned out to be the most unpredictable and exciting one so far in terms of runs scored. This season has seen 41 scores of over 170 runs so far compared to 37 in 2008, the inaugural season. But if it is the 200-plus mark that you are looking for, then the records made in 2008 remain unbeaten—11 teams made 200-plus scores, and 400-plus aggregate was made by five teams.
