Sapporo snow festival in Japan

The 69th Sapporo Snow Festival got underway in Japan this week with impressive snow sculptures rising from the ground at three venues around Hokkaido’s capital.
This clip shows sculptors putting the finishing touches to their creations which included manga heroes and famous temples.
More than 2 million people were expected to attend the weeklong event.
