Egypt escalates military operations in Sinai

Cairo, Feb 9 (EFE).- Egypt's armed forces on Friday launched airstrikes against alleged terrorist organizations in north and central Sinai, the opening move in a major new security operation in the restive governorate as well as the Nile Delta and the western desert, an army spokesman announced.
