Ellis Island: The Making of a Master Race in America - Robert Tutak - Trailer

The faces of immigrants to the U. S. have changed over the years. The fear of them--fear of the other--never has.
The film documents the influence of American eugenics and the ideology of Nordic supremacy and race purification on the U.S. immigration policy in the early 20th century and beyond. It is composed of eight hundred still photographs, and is narrated by a peasant from Galicia, Austria, who journeyed to America, the Promised Land, only to be excluded and deported.
