Sao Paulo, Brazil, a chaotic city, always in frenzy. At the corners of society, homeless people, helpless, forgotten. Paiva, a retired widow, lonesome, lives a monotonous routine, an idle existence. In his walkings through the streets of the city, Paiva spots an ambulance picking up homeless people. Paiva believes that he may or may not have found a new purpose for his life.
