The singer was actually at home asleep, deciding to have an early night in… and he woke up hearing the news that he had won an award.

The 26 year old took to Instagram to reveal the funny news, and celebrate his two-gong win.

Ed took home the top awards for Best Pop Solo Performance and Best Pop Vocal Album, beating out Kesha, Pink, and Kelly Clarkson.

Maybe he’s taking a little time now that he’s revealed that he’s currently engaged to his longtime love.

And to be honest, we kind of dig it that he decided to stay home and just relax.
