VTR: Who are those who lack souls?
ADNAN OKTAR: Let me take a look at how pretty you are. What has caught my eyes is that young girls usually have great, perfect teeth. She has beautiful eyebrows, eyes, nose, cheek bones, chin, forehead, hair; everything about her is beautiful. It is another mercy of God. He created dead beings to test His subjects. Yesterday, while reading the Qur'an, I came across a verse about the dead people. For example, hell is full of dead people. Hell is, in a sense, a graveyard, the realm of the dead. In fact, the Torah refers to hell as 'the realm of the dead.' The Torah does not once refer to it as the realm of the living. On the other hand, heaven is referred to as the dimension of life, the land of the living. But hell is always referred to as the realm of the dead in the Torah. It is quite meaningful; the realm of the dead is the perfect description for hell. "O Lord, grant me eternal life in the realm of life, the realm of the living," says in the Torah. But "Do not condemn me to the realm of the dead." The realm of the dead. Because its inhabitants are doomed to eternal death. A thorough examination of the Torah would reveal all these facts. The Torah is full of secrets. It does not give its wisdom and secrets away the first time it is read. That is why rabbis read the Torah while standing for hours on end every day, trying to gain a better insight into it. Of course, this profuse reading leads to a significant mental development. The Jews are a remarkably intelligent people; they always dominate the Nobels. They produce the highest number of professors, scientists and inventors. It is the result of profusely reading and reflecting upon the Torah; they make frequent use of their mental faculties. In turn, God bestows these great means upon them as a blessing. The dead exist for our trial. The dead deny, speak ill of and make derisive remarks about God. They ridicule Muslims. God makes the dead ridicule Muslims. It is God Who makes the dead ridicule Muslims in order just to increase their position in heaven. But some Muslims do not realize the fact that they are dead, which makes them sad. Our dear Prophet (pbuh) would really worry about them. "Perhaps you will destroy yourself with grief because they will not become believers" (Surah Ash-Shu‘ara’, 3). God tells our Prophet to "not worry about them since they are dead." At first glance, Muslims think the word "dead" as a metaphor, whereas rather than a metaphor, God uses the phrase in its directly technical meaning. God says "dead", in the literal sense; He uses the word 'al mawta' which is used for the 'dead'.
EBRU ALTAN: God says in the verse of the Qur'an, I seek refuge in God from satan; "They are dead, not alive, and they are not aware of when they will be raised." (Surah an-Nahl, 21).
ADNAN OKTAR: Indeed, they are not conscious, so they are unable to consider such things. They have to be alive to be able to even ask "I am dead, when will I be raised?" For example, people die and they are aware of the fact that they dead, but they are still capable of thinking "when will I be given life in heaven?" They retain self-awareness and say "I am who I am." But the dead do not have any self-awareness. In the Torah, Psalms 30/3, it says "You, Lord, brought me up from the realm of the dead; you spared me from going down to the pit. As a cloud vanishes and is gone, so one who goes down to the grave does not return". Pay attention. "As a cloud vanishes and is gone, so one who goes down to the grave does not return. Just as drought and heat washes away the melting snow, the realm of the dead washes away the sins. They remain in there." The Torah describes the people of hell as the dead, while defining heaven as the land of life and the living, "the land of eternal life." It says, "Grant me eternal life." Some will be granted eternal life while some will be condemned to eternal shame and despicableness. Heaven is brimming with life while hell, the realm of the dead, is crawling with the dead. "Death and Destruction are never satisfied", it says in the Torah. As God informs in the verse of the Qur'an; "My Words are shown to be true: that I shall fill up Hell entirely..."
