"The Brendan Creato Case" (Axis Video)

On October 2015 a three year old boy went missing. DJ Creato, the boy's father, called 9-1-1 at about 6 a.m. on Oct. 13, 2015 after the boy went missing overnight. His son's body was not discovered until about three hours later. The boy's body was eventually found by a police dog along the Cooper River in a wooded area of Haddon Township.

The approximate area, along South Park Drive, of where the body was found has been turned into a shrine for the young boy.

DJ Creato, the child's 23 year old father, is charged with murder and child endangerment in the death of his son.

It came out that Creato murdered his son in order to spend more time with his new girlfriend. He became an impediment to the relationship. The girlfriend was never charged in this case.

The boy's pants were rolled and lowered in the back, like they were being used as handles to carry his body.

Detectives stated that the water where the body was didn't move as much as the water in the middle of the pond.

Creato stated that the boy wandered away and that he did not murder his son. The prosecutors set up a similar test subject, another 3 year old boy that walked the path speculated that young Brendan may have walked. The mock experiment produced that the boy has muddied frayed socks while Brendan's were clean when his body was found.

In August 2017 DJ plead guilty. Under the plea agreement, Creato, 23, will serve a maximum of 10 years in prison for aggravated manslaughter. He will be required to serve 8½ years before he can be paroled. Creato admitted that he “recklessly caused his son’s death under circumstances manifesting extreme indifference to the value of human life by depriving Brendan of oxygen.”

As we approach the anniversary of Brendan's death, there are reports of his ghost haunting the area where his body was found.
