The Macbook Air \r
is going to be the most sold Macbook. Its the one that students want the most. Its got good portability, a good enough processor and a decent amount of ports along with being the most affordable laptop. You can get an 11 inch version or a 13 inch version. Grab the 8gb Ram upgrade but do not get the i7 upgrade as its not worth it. If you can afford the ram upgrade see if you can grab the 256 GB SSD along with it, instead of the base 128GB. Since the base model is not enough for pretty much all tasks unless all you do is word processing with web browsing. Keep in mind there is only 2 USB with 1 thunderbolt and no HDMI. The Macbook Air screen is really old and low resolution its got 1366x768 on the 11 inch model and 1440x800 on the 13 inch model. Also the 13 inch model gets 1 extra hour of battery life. both models get around 8 hours + the 1 hour for the 13 inch. It comes with the HD6000 which is pretty good and allows for decent light gaming like CSGO, DOTA, LOL, World Of Warcraft, Minecraft, Battle field 4 all on medium to low graphics on 1280x800 res with about 25-45 fps. on some games much higher. \r

The Macbook Pro \r
is called pro for a reason. Its got a stronger 28 watt cpu vs the weaker 15 watt cpu that the Macbook air has. This 28 watt I5 processor is ually fairly more powerful up to 20%. It can handle tasks slightly quicker than the air and just feels a little bit more smooth when using it for day to day tasks. It has a lot of ports. 2 USB, 2 Thunderbolt and 1 HDMI with a SD card Slot. Its a heavier beefier laptop but it also has the RETINA display that is ually now becoming the standard in display technology. The Macbook pro also gets about 8-9 hours of battery depending on what you do with it. This Computer has the IRIS 6100 Graphics which are about 5-10% better than HD 6000 but I noticed in my gaming tests where I tested close to 100 different games on different macs that the IRIS 6100 is more unstable and tends to crash the computer or the games more often the HD6000 not sure why. When the Pros Iris 6100 is not crashing its really nice to have for gaming as you do get increased fps when compared to the pro. \r

or the 12 inch Macbook is more capable than most people imagine. Its got one of the best designs and thats ually the emphasis with this computer. I wouldnt call it a productivity device but you could certain get things done its just half the performance of most computers. So it may feel slower on more demanding tasks but if you stay away from those tasks it will work good. this computer is a delight to use Its got an all metal construction including the back hinge its ually all metal, this is very impressive since most computers use plastic somewhere not in the 12 inch macbook its a first of its kind to have an all metal body not even the air or the pro where all metal, they had the unibody but not the all metal. The macbook can replace your tablet since its as light as one but the CORE M cpu is ually a super under appreciate device. its really impressive because it runs on 5 watts. thats right not 30 not 15 but 5. thats so low! CORE M is the future of all laptops. its light, its small and this computer doesnt need a fan. Its got HD 5300 which can game on some games but not all. It can play LEAGUE OF LEGENDS, COUNTER-STRIKE GLOBAL OFFENSIVE and more. \r
