A quick 10 minute walk from the Nakameguro station, CABIN sits along the Meguro river and offers an extensive selection of whiskies with particular attention to the Japanese variety. While it feels like a homey log cabin in Canada, the cocktail craftsmanship is undoubtedly Japanese. Whether you’re looking for a rare Hibiki 12 or up for experimenting with one of the uniquely crafted house cocktails, you’re in for something special (even for you non-whiskey drinkers). So there you are, sipping on a Japonica (Japanese plum, Yuzu liqueur, soda and fresh lemon juice), or a Chita Grape Mist (Chita whiskey, pione, cassis and soda) or a Yuzu Shiso Mojito (fresh, homemade Shiso syrup, white rum and soda), and you get a little hungry. As long as it’s before 10pm, they offer a food menu as well (cue the mouthwatering). We recommend the extra thick steak bacon, buffalo wings with black truffle fries and especially the BOMB beef short rib curry with butter rice that is sure to melt in your mouth. Yes, there are many watering holes in Tokyo, but none like this one.
