Joshua Hanlon from BrickPodcast.com talks with Bob Woodward about his giant LEGO Boeing 777-300er airplane. \r
\r
- 110,000 LEGO pieces\r
- 9-feet 4-inches long\r
- Wingspan of 8-feet 2-inches\r
- Weighs approx. 155 lbs. \r
\r
Details from the builder:\r
It is essentially as accurate as is possible with Lego bricks, to scale and in detail to the Boeing aircraft in service since June 1995. The model has operating navigation, beacon collision warning, runway, tail, wing flight illumination, landing and cabin lights. It is built with the Lego brick colors which match Boeings Worldliner Livery.\r
\r
In January 2008 I decided, for no reason whatsoever other than to prove to myself that I could do it. \r
