CVS to Ban Beauty Product Photo Manipulation by 2020 On Monday, the company announced it will redefine its marketing strategy to eliminate beauty product photo alterations. In-store and online beauty product ads and posters will have "CVS Beauty Mark" to indicate to customers that the photos have no been retouched. "We’re all consuming massive amounts of media every day and we’re not necessarily looking at imagery that is real and true." CVS operates about 10,000 pharmacy drug stores and makes over $3.4 billion from its beauty products.
