Ford to Invest $11 Billion in Electric Vehicles by 2020 Ford Chairman Bill Ford said the automaker will offer: at least 40 hybrid and all-electric vehicles. Of those cars, 16 of them will be fully electric. Ford originally said it would invest $4.5 billion on building the electric vehicles. In October, Ford's CEO Jim Hackett noted his plans to focus on mobility emphasizing the importance of smart vehicles.
