# 10 Hypertrichosis\r
Hypertrichosis is a genetic mutation that results in an excessive and abnormal amount of hair over the entire body. Some may even think that hypertrichosis is where werewolf folklore stemmed from. Hypertrichosis will often manifest with an extremely hairy face and limbs. Those who suffer from Hypertrichosis often used to work as sideshow s as they were usually ostracized from society. Shaving or temporary hair removal may work as a temporary cure but the hair often grows back within weeks and sometimes even within hours. \r

# 9 Distichiasis\r
Some people spend their whole lives wishing they had longer, fuller eyelashes. There are whole markets that help people achieve the luscious lashes they want. However, some people are born with it, specifically a mutation known as distichiasis. It causes two rows of eyelashes to grow on each eyelid, which makes someone look naturally beautiful. Unfortunately, this trait is also linked to swollen limbs, varicose veins, and Lymphedema. \r

# 8 Cold Tolerance\r
How can people live in some of the coldest places in the world like Northern Alaska and Siberia? Well, it seems certain people have evolved to resist extreme cold and live more comfortably than someone who wasnt. Inuits and indigenous Siberians have evolved over generations and generations to maintain their body temperatures better without shivering and have been found to have several features that allow them to thrive in extremely cold conditions. \r

# 7 Underwater Vision\r
The Moken people in the Mergui (mer gwee) archipelago have developed the ability to see underwater with almost crystal clear clarity. The Moken people spend eight months of the year on boats or on stilt houses and doing this for years might just give you underwater supervision. When tested, Moken children proved to have underwater vision twice as sharp as European children and these kids can identify clams from rocks even at 75 feet underwater. \r

# 6 Supernumerary Teeth\r
Supernumerary Teeth is a defect that results in a person growing more than the regular amount of teeth humans are supposed to have. These often grow in rows behind or on top of the normal human teeth, which is why supernumerary teeth are also referred to as “Vampire Teeth”. \r

# 5 Cyclopia\r
Cyclopia is a very rare birth defect that results in a single eye instead of the normal two. 1 in 16,000 animals are born with this disease and 1 in every 200 miscarried fetuses are found to have the cyclops syndrome. \r

# 4 Ectrodyly\r
Some might call this defect “lobster claw hand,” but it is known officially as ectrodyly. Its a mutation that causes a cleft in the hand that causes a deficiency of digits. There are different forms of ectrodyly that create an absent middle finger with a “V-shaped” hand, or a more severe form of that causes the absence of two or more fingers. The most well-known cases of this are Grady Stiles Sr. and Jr. who were known as “Lobster Boy” and were featured in AMCs Freakshow. \r

# 3 Polydyly \r
Polydyly refers to the mutation that causes the growth of extra digits on the feet and toes. Yoandri Hernandez Garrido is a 37-year-old man in Cuba who earned the nickname “Twenty-Four” because he has 12 fingers and 12 toes. That seems like a lot of extra fingers but the current world record holder for the most digits is Akshat Saxena who was born with 14 fingers and toes for a total of 28 digits. \r

# 2 Polycephaly\r
Polycephaly is the condition of having more than one head and while you usually see cases of this mutation in folklore or with animals, it also sometimes occurs in humans. The most notorious case of this was Abby and Brittany Hensel who were born sharing a single body but had two heads and separate vital organs. \r

# 1 Myostatin Defectiveness\r
Myostatin is a gene in most animals and humans that inhibits muscle growth; its a gene that keeps most of us from looking like world class bodybuilders. Studies show that virtually every animal is born with this gene, some animals are born with a deficit, and in 2004 a human was found to lack the same gene. The worlds strongest toddler is said to suffer from a Myostatin deficiency that allows him to get super buff and strong, deadlifting huge weights that grown men might have trouble picking up.
