Tonya Harding’s Estranged Mom Bashes Former Skater In Explosive Interview
Tonya Harding’s estranged mother is not holding back when talking about her daughter’s infamous ice-skating feud. As RadarOnline.com has learned, LaVona “Sandy” Golden, believes the Olympian has been caught up in her lies for so long that she doesn’t realize what she’s saying anymore.
In an interview with ABC’s Amy Robach, Golden was candid about her relationship with Harding and the truth behind the 1994 scandal, saying that she never abused her or any of her children. The two-hour special Truth and Lies: The Tonya Harding Story aired Thursday night.
“She’s lied so much she doesn’t know what isn’t a lie anymore,” Golden said during the show.
As RadarOnline.com readers know, Harding, 47, previously spoke out about her rocky relationship with her mom, with their ongoing feud even making it into the plot of the film I, Tonya.
While Harding once claimed her mother once attacked her with a knife – an incident which Golden denied.
“I spanked her once with a hairbrush at a competition,” admitted Golden. “She wouldn’t know what a beating was.”
When asked what she thought about the recent movie based on Tonya Harding’s life, Golden said: “I could care less about the movie than I do about the dirt outside.”
