Is Canada Committing Cultural Suicide?
The home front war is basically a culture war. Islamists are winning it because they understand the nature of the war. The West is losing because its leaders have only the vaguest awareness that they are under attack. Let’s take Canada as a case in point. And let’s start with one of the rare instances of a Western victory in the culture war—Quebec’s face-cover ban.
In October, Quebec lawmakers passed a law barring public workers from wearing the niqab or burqa, and obliging women to unveil while using public transit or receiving government services. In defense of the measure, Philippe Couillard, the premier of Quebec said “We are just saying that for reasons linked to communication, identification, and safety, public services should be given and received with an open face…you speak to me, I should see your face, and you should see mine. It’s as simple as that.”

Multicultural Canada: Masochist-Nation of the World
While our nation’s demographics have changed dramatically, multicultural policy has not changed one iota. There is no other nation on earth which maintains a policy of cultural self-destruction like Canada.
Putting this in proper context, at present there are approximately two hundred nations in the world — meaning that a mere 1% of the world’s nations are officially multicultural. Are Canadians aware of this fact? Frankly, it is doubtful. Based on our government and media’s portrayal of the policy since its inception in 1988, one could easily believe this brand of legislated diversity is standard among nations.

Like Father, Like Son?
Canada’s democratic system has empowered a dynasty that’s not big on democracy.
“You know, there’s a level of admiration I actually have for China because their basic dictatorship is allowing them to actually turn their economy around on a dime,” he said. “In this world we’re competing with countries that have the capacity to react to big issues quickly and completely. We need to make sure that even though we have to compete with them, we can get things done completely” (emphasis added throughout).
Trudeau is not the first Canadian prime minister to heap praise on Communist China and its authoritarian leaders. A previous prime minister swung Canada far to the ideological left. He downplayed the importance of free enterprise and private property rights, and sought to implement his vision of a “just society.” He annihilated the role of Christianity in Canada, and he became famous for initiating the multicultural experiment that seeks to turn Canada into an ethnic representation of the world. By the time this man left office, he had taken a virtually debt-free country to the edge of bankruptcy.

Trudeau has made a name for himself as an extreme left winger, and unsurprisingly, an idiot. Some even suggest that due to his facial characteristics he is the son of Fidel Castro, the murderous Cuban dictator his mother (actress and “flower child” Margaret Sinclair) adored.
The real reason for Trudeau’s political position though is his father Pierre, who was an avowed communist, and Prime minister of Canada for over 15 years. (yes, incredible as it may sound, Canada did put up with him for this long). A writer by the name of Eric Margolis wrote a short biography of Pierre Trudeau upon his death in 2000. America allowed itself to be seduced by a charismatic interloper with spotty credentials, a pro-Muslim bias, hard-left sympathies, and no accomplishments worth mentioning.
It appears that Canada has followed suit, electing an aureate nonentity whose CV would in any sane society have generated howls of laughter or stunned disbelief. “Spectacularly unqualified,” as a PJM commenter posted, Trudeau studied environmental geography at McGill University and engineering at the Université de Montréal—but failed to complete degrees in either discipline. Among his other triumphs, which apparently earned the confidence of the electorate, Trudeau was a snow board instructor, a camp counselor, a white water rafting instructor, and a substitute drama teacher. Even a farcical billet like community organizing would have been more impressive.
