Airport Staff, Police Clear Water From JFK Terminal After Main Break

John F. Kennedy International Airport’s Terminal 4 was flooded with water after a main broke on January 7, causing a “shutdown” of international flights from that terminal, according to the airport. The water main break is the latest of several complications at the airport after the recent ‘bomb cyclone’ winter storm in the area. On January 5, the wingtip of a China Southern 777 airplane clipped the tail of a Kuwait Airways 777, causing damage to both aircraft and extensive delays for passengers inside the terminal. Port Authority reported that 93 flights were cancelled on Saturday and that the airlines and terminal operators were working on a series of issues.
