Drag queen stars in Madrid Epiphany parade

Drag queen La Prohibida takes part in the traditional Three Kings parade (Cabalgata de los Reyes Magos) marking Epiphany in the working class Puente de Vallecas district in southern Madrid. Conservative politicians had criticised Madrid city hall for allowing the famous drag queen to take part in the Epiphany feast parade, arguing it was "distorting" an event aimed at children.
