Hoda Kotb Gets Co Anchor Gig On Today Show

Hoda Kotb has been appointed co-anchor of the Today show, replacing Matt Lauer.
During the New Year's broadcast, Kotb joined co-anchor Savannah Guthrie for the first two hours.
The 53-year-old anchor will also continue to co-host the fourth hour of the show with Kathie Lee Gifford.
It marks the first all-female team in the Today show's 65-year history.
But the decision may have been in response to the show's success in the last month since Lauer was fired from the show.
