This is the adorable moment a young elephant stopped to wait for his struggling friend who'd been left behind by the herd.
In the clip, which was captured in Kruger National Park in South Africa last week, a young elephant struggles to make it up a steep bank and is left behind by the herd.
Another young elephant notices what his happening, stops and then turns back to help his friend.
As he gets to the bank, the struggling elephant makes it to the top and the two friends appear to have a sort of embrace before running to catch up with the rest of the herd.
"How cute is that?" Remarks one onlooker.
Elephants are well documented to be highly social animals, which appear to have self-awareness and often show empathy for individuals of their kind.
