Locals Rally to Save Deer Chased Into Garden by Hunters' Hounds

A deer being hunted by hounds was saved from its fate on December 26 after finding itself trapped in a garden in the French village of Bonneuil-en-Valois, northeast of Paris.Video of the scene shows the wounded deer cornered by hounds in the garden. The uploader praised locals, the mayor and police for preventing the deer’s death.According to the Courrier Picard, there were “two hours of tension” between locals and hunters before the deer was eventually spared.
