Fatal Derailment Of Amtrak Train To Intensify Scrutiny Of NTSB Safety Record

Following a series of fatal accidents, the deadly derailment of an Amtrak train south of Seattle on Monday, is likely to intensify scrutiny of the national passenger railroad company's safety record. According to the U.S. National Transportation Safety Board late on Monday, the train was traveling at eighty-miles-per-hour in a thirty-mile-per-hour zone when it jumped the tracks earlier that day.
