We began making music based on the rules and strategies of the chess game. There are many correspondences between chess and music, some obvious (8 notes - 8 pawns) some more esoteric (King and Queen with their suites correspond to the two tetra-chords of the octave) It seems complicated but the result is a sound quite positive and danceable. We draw inspiration from Oriental folklore (as chess is an Oriental game) but we add powerful 80's electro dancefloor sounds. We have released two EP-s and are currently preparing an LP, we've been on two European tours in major cities like Berlin, Vienna, Warsaw, Budapest, we've been mentioned in Vice Magazine and Dummy Mag, we've played on some small and medium festival stages like Electric Castle and Warsaw Contemporary Art Festival, we've been aired on WMFU New York.
Our live shows often include aerobic classes, contemporary dance, silent movie screenings, ballet acts, or projection of live chess games played by the audience.
