A band created in May 2014. Ombra was born from the union of four musicians from different bands dissolved in Mallorca. Its members are Toni M.Ferrer (guitar), Joan M Ferrer (bass), Mireia Flores (acoustic guitar and vocals) and Alberto Collazo (drums).
In terms of musical style, they are not afraid to answer that they make pop / rock when asked about it. The main idea is to escape from darkness giving way to an entry of fresh air, which was vital to get where they wanted to go.
The proof is "Welcome / Goodbye", their first album where we find two facets musically speaking, one more powerful and another where light and color are the protagonists. This long period was recorded between February and August 2015 by Toni Salva and Dani Paz (Diorama Sound and The Recorder studios). Hay Zeelen has put the icing on the cake, doing the mastering of the album.
Despite their short career, Ombra have played several concerts with a repertoire of more than one hour in different places around Mallorca, and also on big stages such as the festival of Sant Agusti (Felanitx) and Bord Sound (Felanitx). Also they were the winners of the 2016 Sant Sebastia OFF (festivities). From the 12 selected groups in the final, they played at Plaza de Cort (Palma de Mallorca) with four other finalists. This prize allowed them to play at the "Revetla" at the Joan Carles I square, sharing the night with important bands from the island and outside the island, like Full Metal Jacket and Mago de Oz.
It was a magnificent night as the audience almost filled the entire square.
