Urtain is a Majorcan band of Rock’n’Roll formed currently by Julio Molina (vocalist and guitar), Gabi Marcos (drummer), Toni Trobat (bass guitar), Pep Aguiló (keyboard) and Iván Tobias (guitar). They remain themselves loyable fans of bands such as The Faces, Graham Parker, Rolling Stones or Faces and also national bands like Radio Futura, Gabinete Caligari or Los Rodríguez.
In 2008 they made their debut in the well-knowed Madrid hall Moby Dick , signing up with the independent stamp “Lucinda /Subterfuge Records” with whom they produced their first L.p “Canciones Selectas en Conserva” which received a very warm welcome from the critics whilst performing all around the country. In 2010 they recorded in Barcelona their second L.p “Más difícil todavía”,stamped by a more elaborated production and a sound approach to the border rock with some of the latin influences.
In the year 2013 they published a new work, this time in E.p format “Un Domingo cualquiera”(the last until now) in which they go back to a harder sound and compositions go closer to power-pop with American roots. They have performed like invited band of legends of the national scene such as Fito y Fitipaldis or Burning.
At the moment they are preparing what will be their fourth record label work.
