After graduating high school, Jen completed her Bachelor of Arts in Music Performance and Business and in 2008 she was selected to participate in the Red Bull Music Academy. In 2011 Jen Dale graduated from the Music Business and Administration Masters program at New York University. Since then, she has performed at some of the Manhattan hotspots such as S.O.B.’s, The Village Underground, Nublu and The Bitter End and continues to perform throughout New York City and Europe. She is also socially active for a couple of charity organizations one of them being Falling Whistles (http://www.fallingwhistles.com).
2010 Jen Dale teamed up with renowned music veterans, guitarist and producer, Sherrod Barnes (Quincy Jones, Beyonce, Angie Stone, etc.) and, producer and bassist, Jerry Barnes (Chaka Khan, Roberta Flack, Stevie Wonder, Patti Labelle, etc.), Roy Hendrickson (Ben E.King, Roberta Flack, Mary J.Blige) and D’Angelo’s Voodoo producer Russel Elevado (The Roots, Eryka Badu, Al Green) to produce her EP BEGINNING, released January 2011.
After paying tribute to the home Jen Dale grew up in, in EP No.1 of her EP Trilogy - JIMI OTIS BACON & EGGS last summer, the songs on «884» were inspired by the excitement and complexity of Jen's teenage years: "The excitement and energy that accompanies all "first times": the first kiss; the first time my boyfriend snuck into my bedroom window; the first time I sang to Whitney Houston and realized that singing out loud is what keeps me sane; the first time I was high to David Bowie; the first of many times I became victim to my teenage insecurities; the first time I felt the need to find myself; the first time I became more aware of the world around me."
