Amber Lawrence is an award-winning singer-songwriter who created history in 2015 by taking out the CMAA Golden Guitar “Female Artist of the Year” and CMC “Oz Female Artist of the Year” awards, the first time an artist has won both in the same year, as well as picking up her consecutive 2016 CMC “Oz Female Artist of the Year” in March 2016.
Amber’s recent success comes off the back of the launch of her 4th album “Superheroes”. Superheroes debuted at number 3 on the ARIA country Charts, September 2014 with Amber hitting the road for the next 12 months performing around the country. Superheroes includes the hit singles “Superhero”, “I Will Love You”, “Honeysuckle” and “The Lifesaver,” which was also awarded Contemporary Lyric of the Year at the 2015 Bush Laureate Awards.
18 months after the release of the album, "Honeysuckle" sat at #1 on the Australian Country Radio charts for 3 weeks and in the top 10 for weeks on end.
Amber has released 17 singles over the course of her career-to-date that have either reached #1 or Top 5 on the Country Music Radio Chart and the CMC video charts. She is the recipient of no less than 15 country music awards, 8 Golden Guitar nominations and two APRA nominations.
For this Sydney city girl and former Qantas accountant, her ability to engage audiences and tell stories has kept her on the road and working hard for the past 9 years.
She’s played all the major festivals, including the Gympie Muster, Deni Ute Muster and CMC Rocks the Hunter and CMC Rocks Queensland, has toured extensively and has one of the most loyal fan bases in the country!
