Kevin Neary is an acoustic singer/songwriter from Galway, Ireland. His original music is mainly acoustic and has influences from both Rock and Jazz. Kevin is 21 and has spent many years playing on the streets in Galway city and in pubs and bars in Ireland honing his own style of music and singing. He also has a social media presence in releasing videos on his Facebook and YouTube music pages (which can be seen below).
Kevin’s first home-produced EP album entitled ‘Timelines’ (In which the song ‘Lifeboat’ can be found) was released in February 2015 and consists of 6 original songs. It can be found on iTunes, Spotify, Apple Music, Google Play, Amazon and other major websites. He also has a music video for Lifeboat which can be found on YouTube.
Kevin has also been working on new songs and has been recording in Orphan Recording Studios in Dublin for a new EP album to come out sometime in the next year.
With influences from artists such as Ben Howard, Damien Rice, Foo Fighters, Maverick Sabre and other artists, Kevin’s songs often consist of mixes of tender quiet acoustic with soft singing to loud full sections with strong backing, loud vocals and other instruments such as his clarinet and saxophone. His songs are also often mixed with rock-ey and jazzy elements and some high falsetto.
