Napoli, 22.01.1980. Dopo diverse esperienze musicali, dal 2001 al 2012 è impegnato nel progetto Insula Dulcamara, ovvero porta in giro, incide e diffonde la propria musica con l’aiuto di diversi musicisti. Con questo nome autoproduce quattro EP, un LP e partecipa a diverse compilation. Apre concerti per Micah P. Hinson, Tom Brosseau, Emily Jane White, Virginiana Miller, Marco Parente, 24 Grana e molti altri. Si esibisce in Italia, Svezia, Spagna e Germania. Dal 2012, abbandonato lo pseudonimo Insula Dulcamara, scrive e incide nuovi brani, tra cui uno originale per la colonna sonora del lungometraggio animato L’arte della felicità di Alessandro Rak, insignito di numerosi premi, tra cui il prestigioso European Film Award come miglior film d’animazione. Collabora anche a diversi dischi di altri artisti (Cosmosoul, Nasov, Sunneva), come musicista, autore e arrangiatore. Il 2016 vede l’uscita di Letiana, il primo disco a suo nome, che vede la produzione artistica di Marco Parente, e la presenza di Alessandro “Asso” Stefana alle registrazioni e ai mix, oltre che alle chitarre. Il disco è stato candidato alla Targa Tenco 2016 come migliore opera prima.
Parallelamente, insegna e traduce le lingue svedese, inglese e tedesco.

Singer-songwriter born in Naples but based in Rome. From 2001 to 2012 he led the Italian band Insula Dulcamara, recording and playing his music with the help of different musicians. Under this name he self-released 4 EPs, a LP, appearing also on several compilations. He was opening act for Micah P. Hinson, Tom Brosseau, Emily Jane White, Virginiana Miller, Marco Parente, 24 Grana and many more, touring Italy, Sweden, Spain, Germany. In 2012 he dropped the Insula Dulcamara moniker and started to work on new songs. One of these is an original tune for the film "the art of happiness" by Alessandro Rak, which has won several prizes, such as the prestigious European Film Award. He has also worked on records by other musicians and bands (Cosmosoul, Nasov, Sunneva), composing, playing and arranging music. "Letiana" (2016) is Luca's first record under his own name. It was produced by the well-known Italian musician Marco Parente. Few important Italian musicians play on it, such as the guitarist Alessandro "Asso" Stefana (P.J. Harvey, Vinicio Capossela), who also recorded and mixed the whole album. The album was nominated for the Targa Tenco as best debut.
