Sebastián Garay es un músico argentino, cuenta con una trayectoria de más de diez años y se ha convertido en uno de los referentes culturales de Mendoza. Es un buscador incansable de sus raíces, la selección de su repertorio está íntimamente relacionada con la investigación del cancionero regional y nacional. Es un artista preocupado por su entorno social y cultural, viéndose reflejado en sus composiciones.
Es así como se ha relacionado con exponentes tanto del ámbito local como nacional quienes, apoyando su talento y compromiso, han compartido con él escenario y grabaciones.
Entre sus reconocimientos se destacan:
• Su participación en el disco “Cantora”, en la versión del Himno Nacional Argentino de Mercedes Sosa, con quien también compartió numerosos escenarios nacionales tales como: Tucumán, Cosquín 2008, Festival de la Tonada, Americanto, “Folcloristas” en el N.D. Ateneo, entre otros.
• Artistas de vasta trayectoria y prestigio, tales como Pocho Sosa y Golondrina Ruiz han destacado a Sebastián como parte de los nuevos hacedores culturales con proyección nacional e internacional.
Discografía: "Piel y Barro" y "Folclor o no Folclor" lanzado en 2015.
Sebastian Garay is an Argentine musician, has a history of more than ten years and has become one of the cultural references of Mendoza. He is a tireless search of its roots, selection of their repertoire is closely related to the investigation of regional and national songbook. He is an artist concerned about his social and cultural environment, seeing reflected in his compositions.
It is and has been linked with exponents of both the local and national level who, supporting their talent and commitment, have shared several stage and recordings.
Among his awards are:
• Participation in "Cantora" album, in the version of the Argentine National Anthem of Mercedes Sosa, who also shared many national stage such as: Tucuman, Cosquín 2008 Festival Tonada, Americanto, "Folcloristas" in N.D. Ateneo, among others.
• Artist vast experience and prestige, such as Pocho Sosa and Golondrina Sebastian Ruiz have highlighted as part of the new cultural doers with national and international projection.
