Republic of Two is an Indie band from Prague, which started basically as an Indie-folk duo.
It was established by two singers- songwriters Mikoláš Růžička and Jiří Burian in 2009.
So far the band has released 3 studio albums and 1 remix album and their first LP, Raising the Flag, was awarded the Angel prize ( Czech Grammy Awards) in “the outcomer of the year” The Best New Artist of the Year category.
The new album called Back to the Trees is their 4th piece.
It contains 12 emotional tracks mostly influenced by indie music from the early 90s and 70s.
All the songs are catchy and have a mellow atmosphere.
The band has been working on the album for almost 2 years in different studios ,mostly in the various summer houses allover the Czech Republic and the material is considered to be the best of their musical carrier.
