ELEVEN is an alternative-rock band from Bucharest.
"LIES" is a song about fear, actually. Because you lie when you are afraid of someone or something, people, situations; the consequences of telling or accepting the truth, the discomfort in front of the mirror that cannot lie, that reflects the true you, who you really are. I don't know how a lie seems to be so easy to live with. Why people lie so much, especially themselves, so refined and sophisticated…And it is so frustrating and tiring to stay “arms wide opened”…but helpless. To watch the diversion and hypocrisy, the self-sabotage. Because, no matter how truthful the mirror speaks, very few manage the reflection of it. And then, maybe you should just get close to the rocks and remain quiet...as the poet said. There are wounds that do not heal, words that cannot be taken back. I am no wise guy. All of the above applies to me too. In fact, this is how I found out. (Dani Avram)
ELEVEN released two more singles till now, "Cradle Song" in December 2015 and "Go Away" at the beginning of 2016. Everything started from the excellent chemistry between the band members, good friends in and out of the rehearsal room. In 2012, Mugur began rehearsals with two blues projects, co-opting Dani into one of them, who was a friend from high school. Next year, they left that band and started rehearsals as a duo. Soon, the group was completed by the arrival of Dorin on guitar. After some tryings and changes in the band's lineup, it seems that the meeting with the drummer Radu Moldovan, in May 2015, was essential. The guys started to work on recording their own songs.
Eleven: Dani Avram (voice & guitar), Dorin Stan (guitar), Mugur Iliescu (bass) and Radu Moldovan (drums & backing vocals).
