In mid-2008, four eccentric and fashionably daring South African musicians released a short EP that featured four songs under the name The Cavalier, an alternative rock outfit. What it lacked in running time it most definitely made up for in memorable licks and what was to be become the band's signature cavalier attitude. These hallmarks, along with the quartet's decision to make the EP available for free online, immediately gained them the favour of a loyal fan base that is still expanding today.
