PRESENTED BY JOANNE COLLINS

PRODUCED BY JOHN HOUGH & JOANNE COLLINS

I started playing from the age of 7 with my cheap classic nylon guitar! At the start, I didn't really get it and it frustrated me trying to learn it, so I never really practised properly till I was 11. That's when I moved to a new school and house, and to say the least I didn't know many of my own age and everything seem daunting. So I returned to the guitar, sitting in the corner of my bedroom and and it's been my best friend since, better company then anyone so far in my life. It was then at the age of 12 I tried to write a song and I realised how cool and unique it is to write all about how you feel and your opinions with music and have your guitar help you express yourself and the best part is the guitar always listens and helps, doesn't judge. I kept writing and writing I've loads of songs written 100+ I say now that I'm 17 and been writing since. It's when I built up the courage to preform my songs at first for family then friends. I realised people actually like them and that was an ecstatic feeling, the one I keeps living and writing everyday.

I haven't published them anywhere yet. I've been in and out of bands since 13 and recently I've been playing solo and I feel that has done me the best so far. I would love to try a band again soon, maybe in college you never know! The goal is to gig and record some of my stuff professionally and just have fun. But for now you can check my songs out, that I self recorded on soundcloud.
