Valentina Polinori è una Cantautrice Romana, classe 1987, laureata in Storia dell’Arte con un percorso itinerante tra Roma, Parigi e Utrecht. Musicalmente parlando, si avvicina allo studio del pianoforte classico a sette anni, per poi frequentare, nel 2001, il 3° anno nel conservatorio di santa Cecilia a Roma. Riprende lo studio del pianoforte nel 2013 e nel frattempo, imparata la chitarra da autoditatta, comincia a scrivere brani inediti.
Il percorso cantautoriale, in origine affiancato dal Chitarrista Matteo Cona, si sviluppa inizialmente in forma acustica esprimendosi in numerosi live a Roma e dintorni, intrecciando anche collaborazioni con altri cantautori. Il 6 Giugno 2017 esce il suo album di debutto, “Mobili” che vede aggiungersi alla band Giacomo Ronconi alla chitarra acustica e la ritmica fuoriclasse di Stefano Rossi al Basso Elettrico e Davide Savarese alla batteria.
Anticipato dal singolo Lolita, Mobili è un disco di profonda sensibilità melodica. Le dieci tracce spaziano tra cantautorato italiano, ritmi rock e sonorità dolci a volte contaminate dall’elettronica. Legato a doppio filo alla sua esperienza personale e di artistica, il titolo del disco rappresenta il costante contrasto tra movimento e immobilità ed il tentativo di costruire una realtà parallela fatta di personaggi inventati, immagini evocative, riflessioni semplici. Il disco è registrato presso Il Cubo Rosso Recording, masterizzato da Fabrizio de Carolis al Reference Mastering e distribuito dall’etichetta Saetta Dischi, con la direzione artistica di Aurelio Rizzuti.
Valentina Polinori is a songwriter born in Rome in 1987. Graduated in history of art, she has followed an itinerant path among Rome, Paris and Utrecht. Musically speaking, she studied classic piano since a very young age and also attended the Italian Conservatory of Santa Cecilia. Later she learnt guitar in a self-taught way and started writing original songs. The guitarist Matteo Cona accompanied her since the beginning of her way/itinerary in an acoustic duo, playing in many Live Music Clubs in Rome and surroundings. The 6th of June 2017 her first album of originals, “ Mobili”, was published: a mixtape of 10 tracks recorded in band, with Stefano Rossi on electric bass and Davide Savarese on drums. Announced by the single track “Lolita”, the album is a work of profound melodic sensibility ranging between Italian songwriting folk, rock rhythms, and sweeter sounds sometimes contaminated by electronic. The Album title refers to a double meaning of the word “mobili” (both movement and furniture) which somehow describes the parallel reality created by Valentina in describing fantastic characters in her songs, searching for a new creative way to approach reality. The album is recorded at CUBO ROSSO RECORDING, Masterized by FABRIZIO DE CAROLIS at REFERENCE MASTERING and distributed by SAETTA DISCHI Recording Label, with the Artistic direction of Aurelio Rizzuti.
