Obama Takes Credit for Improving U.S. Economy

At a conference in Chicago, former president Barack Obama took credit for the improving employment numbers the United States is currently experiencing. Obama said, "As we took these actions, we saw the U.S. economy grow consistently. We saw the longest streak of job creation in American history by far, a streak that still continues by the way.” He then jokingly added, "Thanks, Obama." Despite the comments, business leaders and economists credit Donald Trump’s regulatory rollback and his push for tax cuts as reasons for the economy picking up steam this year.
