The word Bulgogi, literally means “fire meat” and it is a Korean-style grilled dish made of thin, marinated slices of beef (or pork). The most commonly used cuts of beef for this dish are sirloin, ribeye or brisket. It's one of the most popular dishes in North and South Korea. In the North, Bulgogi is an extravagant dish loved by elites, and in the South the dish can be found everywhere, from fancy restaurants to cheap eats.
