IDEAS CEO Wan Saiful Wan Jan believes Pas is finally returning to its root as a conservative, rural Malay party as it announces its departure from a strategic partnership with Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) after severing ties with DAP previously. He added that the Islamist party new found confidence can be observed during the recently-concluded Muktamar and the negative sentiments toward Pakatan Harapan parties among grassroot members can't be denied.
