No major economic shocks from fuel price hike

The government is unlikely to meet its budget deficit target this year of 3.5% of gross domestic product (GDP). Kenanga Research said this is because the latest cut in fuel subsidy for RON95 petrol and diesel by 20 sen is only being implemented at the tail end of the year.
