MRCA: Tough but positive 2014 for retail industry

The overall outlook for the Malaysian retail industry is still positive despite 2014 being a tough year for retailers. According to the Malaysia Retail Chain Association (MRCA), domestic retail sector would still be able to achieve 6.2% growth in sales this year as momentum is expected to pick up in the second and third quarter due to upcoming events such as the World Cup.
