India is banning street beggars ahead of Ivanka Trump’s visit to Hyderabad.

The first daughter and hundreds of other businesspeople will be attending the Global Entrepreneurship Summit. In anticipation of the event, the city is banning its 5,000 beggars, placing homeless families in jales, rehab centers, and shelters for two months.

In addition to authorities removing the “inconvenience” of homeless people from the view of guests, they will also be repairing roads and hoping to beautify the city.

Hyderabad did the same thing when Bill Clinton visited in 2000. Maybe the Summit entrepreneurs could innovate a better solution for homelessness in the future.
