Militants Kill More Than 180 In North Sinai Mosque Attack

On Friday, state media reported that militants killed 184 people at a mosque in Egypt’s north Sinai region, detonating a bomb and shooting at fleeing worshippers and ambulances. It was one of the deadliest attacks in the region’s Islamist insurgency. State television also reported that another 125 were wounded. The state said that President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi has summoned an emergency meeting with his defence and interior ministers and intelligence chief soon after the attack.
