Vamos: Women's Health App Is First Of Its Kind In Latin America, Caribbean

A new app was created for a region that desperately needs better health care for women.
The Vamos app, launched by international Planned Parenthood, is focused on women's sexual health in Latin America and the Caribbean. The app directs women to approved clinics for safe abortions and provides information for other sexual health services, such as STD testing and contraception options.
The targeted regions have notoriously limited sexual health services, leading to illegal abortions and a high rate of maternal mortality, as well as teen pregnancy.
The app is the first of its kind to be released in Latin America and the Caribbean, where women will have more freedom to make reproductive choices.
