Earlier this week, Uber admitted that it had covered up a major security breach. The ride-hailing company paid hackers $100,000 to hide the fact that a cyberattack exposed 57 million people's personal data in October 2016. Passengers and drivers only found out about it this week. The breach is not the first scandal to hit the company. Uber has previously been accused of sexual harassment and gender inequality. The company was also accused by Google of stealing its self-driving car technology.
