Meet the family of boxing legend Anthony Oluwafemi Joshua

The ancient city of Sagamu, Ogun state Nigeria, is where the family home of the new boxing IBF and WBA champion Anthony Joshua is, but NAIJ.com understands they are from Ijebu Ode.
The Joshua’s live on the popular Cinema street in the ‘Remo land’, but the Ogun state government has promised to rename it after the boxing champion; their great grandfather owned the famous cinema in the city, and that was how the street got its name.
NAIJ.com spoke to the boxer’s uncle and other close family members. The expressed gladness that their “son ‘Jonathan’ has made the Joshua’s proud” and cannot even express how they feel.
Although now based in the UK, Anthony Joshua’s father who had his early education in Ijebu Ode is said to be frequent in Nigeria – he comes home every time.
The relatives of the CHAMPION are eagerly awaiting their beloved son ‘Jonathan’; but for now the BOXING CROWN is in their abode.
