This Boy Was Nearly Smuggled Out Of Turkey In A Suitcase

A 14-year-old boy tried to escape Turkey in a suitcase in an attempt to reunite with his parents, who are believed to be in Georgia.
The parents fled Turkey after being accused of supporting the Gulen Movement, the same group the Turkish government says was behind the 2016 coup attempt. Since then, the government has detained more than 100,000 people, including academics, judges, doctors, teachers, lawyers, students and policemen.
Many of the people arrested have had their passports canceled, making it difficult to escape. The boy was intercepted by Turkish officials at the border with Georgia and taken into custody.
