Homemade Laundry Detergent/Soap (Powder) 1 year supply

TOTALLY SAFE FOR HE or FRONT LOADING WASHERS! :D\r
ALL of my ingredients were purchased at Walmart, in the laundry detergent isle!\r
Ingredients:\r
1 year supply of Powder (on average)\r
1 (4 lb 12 oz) Box of Borax- Found in the detergent aisle.\r
1 (3 lb 7 oz) Box of Arm & Hammer Super Washing Soda- Found in the detergent aisle\r
1 (4 lb) Box of Arm & Hammer Baking Soda- Found in the cooking aisle (You could also get two 2 lb box, we couldnt find the larger 4lb box when we went)\r
2 (14.1 oz) Bars of Zote Soap- Found in the detergent aisle (we chose to do pink for the scent but the white would be just fine. You can also use Fels Naptha)\r

OPTIONAL INGREDIENTS: These you can add in, for extra washing power:\r
1 (3 lb) Container of OxyClean OR Biz- Found in the detergent aisle. \r
1-2 (55 oz) Bottle of Purex Crystals Fabric Softener or Downy Unstoppables, to ADD scent to your laundry powder mix..which can be found in the detergent aisle.\r
1-Box of Clorox 2...color safe bleach.\r

Here was MY cost:\r
1-box of Borax $3.38\r
1-box of Super Washing Soda $3.24\r
1-box Baking Soda $2.24\r
2-bars Zote $.97/each..$1.94\r
Total for cloth diaper/sensitive skin safe $10.80 before tax!!!!!\r

after adding Biz $16.44\r
adding Purex Crystals, at $8.96/bottle your total would be $25.73\r

I also purchased my 2 glass jars at Walmart. They can be found in the kitchen container isle. They were $5.47.each. My stainless coffee scoop which is a perfect 2 tablespoons, was bought at Walmart in the Kitchen section, near the measuring spoons and sups for $1.97. My plastic mixing spoon, was bought as a set of 5, also from Walmart found in the same isle as my scoop, for $0.88.\r
