Genetics : is the branch of science which deals with Heredity and Variation. \r

Heredity: is the transfer of charers from one generation to other generation. \r
\r
Variation: is described as the changes imbibed in the offspring (children) and siblings (brothers and sisters) of a Biparental (Male and Female) ual reproduction.\r

Pre-mendelian views:\r
\r
 Moist vapours theory by Pythagoras (580-500 B.C) – different part of the body produces moist vapors which take part in the formation of embryo parts.\r
 Fluid theory by Impedances (504-533 B.C) and reproductive blood theory by Aristotle (384 – 322 B.C)\r
 Preformation theory – Malpighi (1673) believed that homunculus or miniature individual is present in sperm of egg.\r
 Theory of pangenesis by Darwin which believes that every cell of the body produces a gem mule of pan gene that contains both parental and acquired charers . The gem mules passes eats gametes and hence into embryo.\r
 Premendelian theories were also called as theories of blending inheritance because they believed that traits of the two parents got blended in the offspring.\r
